View of the exhibition with photo prints and video, Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart, Germany, 2005

The installation is composed of four photographic prints and a video. The series of images shows a couple, where the bodies are intertwined through a single piece of garment that forms and restrains their movements. In the video, a metropolis skyline is veiled and revealed through a rain of glitter.
The work deals with the question of encounters and inter-personal exchange in contemporary society. During the last decades we have witnessed the creation of groups and subgroups that only converge and blend in specific circumstances. Music can often serve as a link where class, gender and ethnicity are mixed whilst dividing the same social space, creating possibilities of negotiation between diverse identities.
